In April-May 2008 maestro Karen Durgaryan conducted over five performances of the 'Spartacus' Ballet by Aram Khachaturian with new production of the Mikhailovsky Theatre of St. Petersburg, Russia

The widely announced new production of the 'Spartacus' Ballet by Aram Khachaturian was premiered by the Mikhailovsky Theatre of St. Petersburg on 29th, 30th April and 1st May 2008. Other two productions took place in the middle of May. The premier productions as well as further performances were taken place under direction of maestro Karen Durgaryan. It seems the Mikhailovsky Theatre is interested in further collaboration with the Armenian conductor
