On the 15th September 2010 Karen Durgaryan has opened the 2010-2011 season of the Mariinsky Theatre with performance of the 'Spartacus' Ballet

Collaboration of Karen Durgaryan with the leading Opera and Ballet companies of Russia becomes especially solid after proposal of maestro Valery Gergiev to conduct three performances of "Spartacus" ballet with the Mariinsky in July 2010. Big success of the given three performances and positive attitude of the orchestra and ballet troup to Karen's way of conducting and behaving with artists assured maestro Gergiev to extend invitation to Karen for other three performances in September 2010, including the Mariinsky new season opening performance taken place on the 15th September
