TECHNICAL RIDER
CADENCE ENSEMBLE
2022-2023 Concert Season

 

In case if a concert venue has no good acoustic the Cadence Ensemble performs with amplified sound and requests the following equipment and rider:

 

Equipment list

 

Console: 1 - Yamaha PM5D or equivalent
Processor Rack: 2 - DP Lexicon PCM 80 or equivalent
P.A. System: Line array system (Stereo) Nexo, Adamson, Meyer, or equivalent quality with associated Subs.

Guitar:          1 mic. AKG 451, or equivalent.

Piano: any size acoustic grand piano (to be tuned at rehearsal and before performance starts).
In case of absence of grand piano a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano or a similar piano full keyboard digital electronic instrument could be put at stage.
Chairs: 1 standard adjustable piano chair, 1 adjustable chair for guitarist, 3 high contrabass chairs for violinist, accordionist and contrabassist.
Music Score Stands: 4 standard score stands.
Music Stand Lights: 5 attachable music stand lights.

 

MAJOR TERMS

 

The major terms of hiring the Cadence Ensemble accompanied by the manager are as follows:
•    Fee: (to be announced)    
Payments net and clear of all taxes to be made before performance starts
•    Visa & Travel costs: 6 visas’ expenses (including travel insurance in case of necessity) &
6 round-trip flights from Yerevan to Yerevan (Armenia) plus cargo expenses for over-sized instrument (contrabass) if it is not rented by the inviting part.
•    In case of necessity depending on flights rules the three instruments (guitar, accordion, violin) should be provided with air-tickets.
•    Three per day meals or per-diems of $50 per person.
•    Ground travel / all transfers within the hosting country.
•    Accommodation in a high-standard hotel of 6 persons in 6 single rooms.
•    Instruments: piano and contrabass to be provided by the inviting part,
In some cases acoustic piano could be replaced by high-standard electronic piano with full piano-pad (bank of keys, e.g. Clavinova pianos by Yamaha).
•    Stage:     Piano and space of  min. 4 m x 2 m
•    Sound:     According to Technical Rider
•    Stage set up time incl. sound check:    2h
•    Take down:  30 min.
•    Performance time: 80-90 minutes with or without intermission (upon agreement)
•    Depending on program in case of other musicians, dancers and singers involvement in the project there will be negotiated other terms different from the above mentioned.

HOSPITALITY IN CONCERT HALL
•    Two or three artistic rooms with 5 towels (one room for female pianist, one or two rooms for male musicians)
•    Cold still water, tea, coffee, cookies, dark chocolate
•    Sandwiches
•    Fruits


OTHER PROGRAMS AND TOURING PROJECTS
Beside the various concert programs the Cadence Ensemble permanently works over new projects to perform Armenian, Argentine, Russian, Western composers’ classical and contemporary works arranged for this instrumental group. Depending on its program the Ensemble enlarges its staff up to 8-16 musicians to perform diverse and interesting music.
When performing Argentine, Latin American, Spanish and Armenian music programs the Ensemble could be accompanied by dancers, vocalists and some Armenian traditional instruments.
Concerto for Symphony or Chamber Orchestra and the Cadence Ensemble
•    In April 2014 there has taken place world premiere of Astor Piazzolla’s “Four Seasons” for the Cadence Ensemble, percussions and String Chamber Orchestra. This attractive piece was arranged by Armenian composer Karen Ananyan.
When touring the Cadence Ensemble, it is welcomed to perform this and other orchestral works (at the moment up to eight works) in those cities which have or could invite symphony and chamber orchestras to accompany the Cadence Ensemble.
Gala-Concerts with participation of leading Armenian instrumentalists, singers and dancers
•    Cadence Ensemble has good experience in performing gala-concerts with leading Armenian instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers. The program of gala-concert could be extremely wide with participation of artists from the hosting country including choirs and dance troupes.  
Recitals, Performance with Orchestra and Master Classes of Guitar Music
•    Hakob Jaghatspanyan performs several programs of classical guitar music and his concert or concerts could be scheduled in addition to the Cadence Ensemble’s performances.
•    Hakob Jaghatspanyan performs all major works created for guitar and orchestra and his performance could be scheduled with an orchestra of hosting country.
•    Hakob Jaghatspanyan, being acting professor of the Yerevan State Conservatory, usually gives master-classes in the conservatories, music colleges and schools of the visited countries.
Flamenco
•    Hakob Jaghatspanyan performs also several programs of flamenco music.
•    When touring abroad Hakob sometimes invites a percussionist to accompany him at his concerts of flamenco music.
Various
•    The virtuoso violinist Varazdat Khachumyan performs wonderfully different programs of Russian romances, Gypsy, Armenian pop and dance music arrangements for violin accompanied by recorded music and some artists of the Cadence Ensemble.
•    The accordionist Meruzhan Yeganyan performs huge program of popular Armenian, Russian, Western European, Argentine, Moldavian melodies arranged for solo accordion accompanied by recorded music and some artists of the Cadence Ensemble.

All the above mentioned extra options are subject of separate agreement.
